Renate -- awhhh, I feel the same way about your posts too... sometimes they speak so much of what I am thinking that it feels like you jumped inside my head! It's like you said, I think our Ancestors have put us all together so that we can support one another on this journey. How else could we explain all the common bonds that exist between us?

As a side note -- so glad to hear that your Mom was having a good day. I've come to appreciate them when they happen!

Thomas - you are the sweetest! What we have is special indeed and rare. I miss you guys & gals when I'm away and the minute I have good news, you folks are the first I want to share it with.

And you my friend, welcomed me in from the start! We are what communities should be!:-)

Luckie - you are so spot on with your take on the genealogy blogging community. It is all about connections: we strive for connections with our ancestors and work in parallel with others who want the same. It is only natural for genealogists to connect with each other. We share our triumphs, our heartaches, our research, our personal insights and more.

I am proud to be part of a vibrant and loving community where I feel comfortable just being me - no pretensions, no posturing, no competition, no jockeying for advantage.

And I am so glad to have met gentle giving souls like you.

Cheers
